Putting a single weapon on a rolling panel is a good way to make a "sweep" motion for waves of bullets. It doesn't have to be original to be effective.

I agree with Kasran there that how attack made don't really matters, the player playing the thing will not see how attacks made anyway, what really matters is how attack is balanced with the gameplay elements and other attacks, which seems to be lacking for single bosses to be honest, and that's why i don't usually comment on single resources.
And if attack was used somewhere else it don't matters if somebody else uses them, as long as it's not some sort of signature move in the game or whatever.
