The stained axe brushed across the pavement, leaving behind an ugly scar of whispy, black blood.

"What you say, human, can you hold the big, ugly bastard while I carve the lesser thralls?"

Chebraghol leaned down in preparation.

"Should we bother with helping the hostages?"

Upon hearing this, she took out the knife she had in her backpack.
Grabbing it firmly in her right hand, she readied herself for the fight ahead.

"Uh oh. I think they found us."
Whispering this, she had hoped that such did not happen, so they could plan an attack.
"Alright, let's save them. It's only for the best."

The Sentinel nodded, plunging a hand into its chest. The sickening sound of bones snapping and cracking echoed through the street. The hand re-emerged, dragging out a long pole of fused bone, glowing red hot. "Not good enough," Moltoven muttered to himself. The Sentinel embedded the rod in the chest of a shadow that took the moment to attempt to sneak up on him. Knocking the shadow away, he charged the largest of them, knocking aside two demons who tried to step between. He grabbed the demon's left hand, grabbing a claw and snapping it off, swiping it at the shadow's neck. It passed through harmlessly, the beast laughing before lashing out with its other hand. The Sentinel ducked the swing, pulling back as it did. As the demon moved to strike again, Moltoven countered the beast's momentum, launching forward into an uppercut, toppling the shadow backwards. The Sentinel's chest flew open, releasing a torrent of flame. When the smoke cleared, the demon was nowhere to be seen. Which is when Moltoven heard a thud as the claws punctured the Sentinel's chest. He twisted, snapping them off inside as he turned to strike the beast with an outstretched arm. The shadow stumbled, and the Sentinel punched with its other fist. The shadow split open before reforming, closing on the hand. Moltoven scoffed, before sending flames down the arms, incinerating the shadow. It collapsed to the ground. The Sentinel stomped it a couple times, for good measure.

The pounding of feet down the second floor stairway, along with the jingle of weapons made their way to her ear. The draw of battle had probably broken through the ward of happiness about the three coming down, which was still a small problem she had yet to fix with it. Quickly heading to front, Alicia greeted them with a smile. They were local members of the militia who had taken to drinking themselves into slumber, and she really didn't want them out and about in that form... Or at all with all the commotion. 'I'd like to keep them here a bit longer until whatever is going on outside is done, something tells me it won't end well for them at all.'

Chebraghol leapt at the closest beast, using the entiriety of his arms' length to wrap around and crush it. As the beast struggled, he plunged his teeth into the flesh, taking a big, juicy bite from the struggling enemy. The pupils narrowed in a frenzy of blood and as he gulped down the taste of fresh meat, Chebraghol lowered his head and gored the demon with the horns, piercing the head right through.

He slumped the lifeless body off to the street, dark blood trickling down his horns, along the lines of his face. The demon was looking for the next victim.

Between the fall of their leader and Chebraghol's attack, the Shadows were terrified. Two of them ran for it. As the first ran past, the Sentinel politely requested it stay, in the universally understood language of a fist through the chest. The other was far luckier, escaping to the field and rushing off towards the mountains of Alnkek. Moltoven switched back to his own body, telling a nearby skeleton that they need to be on the lookout for vengeful demons.

He switched back to the Sentinel. Six Demons vs a Sentinel and this massive red brute. Shouldn't be hard.

Seven?

Chebraghol never really counted them, the frenzy has long thrown him into the fray, for all he knew, he could probably already have killed a few. So what if they clawed at his torso, while crushed under his feet and torn by his hands. His blood burned bright red, a small trickle in a dark, shadowy ocean.

The beast under his arms hollered and tried a last attempt to break free, clenching it's teeth on the iron greaves. Chebraghol responded with a his own howl, a breath of fire that melted the thing's face and silenced its screams.

Six. Seven. Less, now.

The Sentinel grabbed a nearby shadow, deftly tearing its head from its body. Tossing the head away, he used the body to knock another away as it jumped at him.

Taking Steven's voice for a moment, Moltoven shouted, "Hah. These aren't so tough with the master dead. Almost sad we're about to run out."

The lone beast looked afraid and clearly fought on the defensive. A wide swing of Chebraghol's Axe scraped it barely, the beast jerking back and lunging forward, delivering a long scratch to the demon's arm, down to the flesh. Chebraghol grunted, pushed the beast away with his shoulder, pressed on and delivered a staggering blow with his left hand, knocking it back further and then finally, brought the axe down on it's head.

A cracking sound signaled the last of the attackers dead. Chebraghol took a few heavy breaths.

"Never seen beasts like this before."

He spat down on the corpse.

The Sentinel walked over and picked up the leader, heaving it over its shoulder. Moltoven switched to controlling Steven.

"Feel free to take the rest, if you choose. But the big one, I'm very interested to experiment with..."

He looked towards Alnkek. "Never seen one of them run away like that."
