As you all enter the building, you are greeted by one of the employees there. She is dressed in a large orange hoodie with cute cat-like ears and a short red skirt. Her shoes seem extremely uncomfortable, but that doesn't seem to faze her, as her light smile and blue eyes greet you.

"Hi there, nya! I'm Niko Kenia, nya! Welcome to our tournament, nya!"

That tic will not be annoying. At all.

"Well, nya, how about I show you this place, nya?"

Niko does so accordingly. You feel amazed at the size of the building. The dorms are all incredibly spacious, and each is made to the liking of each participant. The buffet has all sorts of food that makes you drool at the sight of it, and the other workers seem happy to greet you.

The odd catgirl guide then directs you to the arena.

"Well, here it is, nya! You might want to train with your spirits, nya! I'll just lea-"

Suddenly, a tall, orange-haired woman bursts out of the virtual arena. She looks at all of you with a stern glance from her orange eyes, and scoffs.

"These are the battlers? I thought I had recruited some of the most powerful warriors in this galaxy..."

"You did, nya! These guys surpassed all our-"

"Silence, Niko. Those tests were easier than fighting a bunch of slimes. Anyways, welcome to the Spirit Warriors' first official tournament. My name is Chernobyl. I am running this tournament. Enjoy the place, and have nice battles. I'll let Niko here explain the rules."

The odd orange girl takes her leave, and Niko starts jumping in joy.

"Yay, nya! Anyways, the rules are simple, nya! Last one standing wins! Hey, Alfred!"

The nerd that has been with you the whole time and you thought of as a participant walked up to Niko.

"Y-yes?"

"Maybe we should show them how things work here!"

"I-I guess."

You can't help but laugh inside at the guy. It's like it's his first time doing this.



Niko brings you to the control pad, where you see all sorts of colourful buttons. Alfred, who is at the virtual arena, assumes an odd battle stance.

"Ready, Alfred?" she asks through the microphone.

"R-ready. Battle Spirit, activate!"

A flash of red signifies that his Spirit Warrior has activated, and it looks incredible. His incredibly buff figure, a jacket being worn with the most awesome jeans, and shoes to die for. His sunglasses seem to block everything out. It's like he literally oozes awesome.

"Lay it on me, cat-girl", he shouts with a burst of self-confidence.

Niko presses some buttons, and a large punching bag appears.

"Well, here's the status screen, nya!"

TL;DR:
Damage = (ATK/DEF)*10-20 (RNG'd)
Damage from a single attack that would cause another character to die instead leaves them on 1 HP. This effect is removed after it is used once or if the character is reduced to 1 HP by other means.
Spirit Bursts have a minimum of a single turn of Warmup before being able to be used.

I take it that we may join?
If so, this will serve as placeholder for when I get my Spirit Warrior set up.

They both hear banging on the wall.

"Did you hear that?"
"Yeah, it seems like someone is angry there..."
"Let's stay away from that wall for now, speaking of which, I'm hungry..."
"Let's go to the buffet, yeah?"
"Sure thing~"

They arrive at the buffet

"So, did you get a look at the bracket?"
"No, not really."
"I didn't get a good look at it, but it seems that our first opponent is Crimson P. Steam."
"So it's the red robot thing, right?"
"Yeah, it seems like it."

OOC: I was going to do the piece of cake pun but decided against it.

A voice announces the first round participants. It's the same orange-haired girl that talked to you earlier.
"I shall now announce the first match."

The first match has been decided. As the mysterious Corolla has disappeared into the shadows, two participants known as The Shadow and The Spectre, of Spirit Tenebris, shall take its place. The participants, with the conjoined Spirit, will face Sebastian Prism, with Spirit Arin Prism, in the first battle.


The participants head towards the virtual arena and enter it. Right away, they notice a fully armored humanoid shouting from its mic.

"Good morning, Miiiiilky Way! I'm proud to announce that the first Official Spirit Warriors Tournament is about to begin! Now entering are our first two battlers!

The shadowy figure is the spirit of not one, but two people at once! How cool is that? They're The Shadow and The Spectre, and their spirit is Tenebris! We don't have him on files, so we don't know how he fights!

The smaller kid is Sebastian Prism! His spirit, Arin Prism, is the king of diversity! One time he could be an arsonist, and the next he could be drowning people in water!

Now that I've got you all caught up with these two, it's time....

TO RUMBLE!

He wasn't kidding, as the arena is an iceberg filled with cold, cold water. Yikes.
