I found Fraxy several years ago. It was alright, I had fun with the enemy editor, made a few bosses. I wanted to make a Try but there were no English resources at the time, so I couldn't be bothered.
Two days ago I found a folder with my old creations.
I updated to the newest version of Fraxy - and holy muffinwads have things changed.
I want to do it. I want to finish one of those Trys I imagined from so long ago.
Looking for resources - they're all out-of-date and incomplete.
So I come to you.
Hi.
EDIT: Also I'm terrible at danmaku so I'll probably be sticking to the omni-directional thing thank you very much. xD

Welcome to the forums!
There's a few people around here that can help you with try shenanigans. Also, if you want to stick to omni-directional (aka Free Roam) bosses, go right ahead. Nobody's going to stop you (at least I hope so).

Welcome! As for Try files, you have to type out what you want the try file to do in a notepad document. Seems scary at first, but there's a lot of sample try files that come with fraxy that you can just copy and paste stuff off of. It's not as bad as it seems

Fixed area doesn't have to be danmaku, all Gradius bosses are fixed area. Personally I don't like free-roam as it forces bosses to chase the player down to be a threat, which forces the player to run away to survive.
Hi, I'm Dabir. I have strong opinions and a mean streak. I'll probably call you a moron today. It's your job to make sure I'm wrong.
And hey, if you're dissatisfied with the quality of the resources, feel free to make it your project to fix that. After all, that's what wikis are for.
