I'm sure you'll be fine, besides, if you do have the surgery, you won't have to worry about it later on in your life where it might be really inconvenient. Hope you feel better though and it turns out you won't need it.

Only 2 days?
When I had an appendix-related issue (I think they removed it outright, not sure, been 8 years) I was in for 10.
