A while back, people were discussing the idea of having a monthly contest, as a sort of "successor" to Boss of the Month. The idea was quickly agreed upon as awesome, but it never went anywhere.

I think it's about time we fixed that.

But here's the catch. Someone, preferably a few someones, will need to run it. We need someone to decide the contest parameters, and possibly have a voting system similar to BotM.

So then. For the time being. Let this be a nomination topic.

Who should run Contest of the Month?

As with BotM I'd like to help run it, or at the very least be a judge or something.

I don't think I could run it though...

Me. I would like to participate in that

I should suggest implementing a system where winner selects a theme for next contest (Don't know if it's a good or bad idea, saw something like that on other forum)

and possibly have a voting system similar to BotM.

Well, as far as BotM went, Zarro was a fan of "watch the voting happen, then disregard it and pick which boss you thought was the best", and it worked pretty well for him.

But to be honest that isn't exactly a fair way to judge each entry.

Because it would make it fair to everyone, also I'm usually the first few to vote so votes from past doesn't actually matter to me.

Not to sound picky or all, but shouldn't this be in Feedback and not News and Announcements?

But so this post is relatively on topic; it IS a good idea. As for the judges, I don't know who should be the judges.

So far, I'm thinking 3 judges. It worked out pretty well for BotM, it's a small enough number to keep track of easily, it's an odd number, which is good for making decisions, and it's not a single person, which could lead more readily to abuse.
