Peek around the corner.
If it's a possible ally: Step out in a friendly manner.
If it's a hostile/The Fuzz: Cheese it!

You're not sure how, but it seems you're in a bed. Around you is a burnt out lab, what looks to have been pristine metal work tables are nothing but slag and and the glass instruments are nothing but ash. To your far left, there seems to be the remains of a large monitor, the insides melted beyond repair some time ago. Of course, all that pales in comparison to the figure standing in the doorway leading to this safe room.
Jet black hair, deeply tanned skin, and red armor similar to your own cut to fit a feminine frame. Her dull red eyes stare into your own, waiting for you to make a move or talk.

Just as you slow down to rest, the sand around you starts shifting. Jumping out of the way, you look back to see a massive pair of steel mandibles, and the giant metallic beetle they are attached to coming out of the sand. Just as it looks like it's going to lunge at you, a massive wave of sand sweeps it onto its back, then crushes it with its weight.
Looking around for the source of the sand wave, you find a massive figure wielding what looks to be a massive war hammer walking toward you. You can't tell if it's male or female as its completely covered in in its yellow-brown armor, which looks similar to your own. It stops a few steps away from you, inspecting the remains of the beetle before turning to you.

Peeking around the corner, you spot the source of the footsteps. A woman with deep blue armor similar to that of the corpse you recently scavenged, pale purple hair, and green/blue eyes that lock on to your own as soon as they spot you. Her hand goes to the holster at her waist, but she doesn't pull out the pistol, instead she seems to be waiting.
Notes: And the point I've wanted to get to since Turn 1 is finally upon us. How things go from now on depends on your actions. And with that, Turn 9 is done.

"Right, er... Hi?"
Wave to the suit of blue armor in a (hopefully) friendly manner, creeping a little bit out of the corner to try to communicate with it. Be ready to duck back behind the corner if it draws a weapon.

...woah. Thanks... whoever you are...

Uhh.... who is that? Wave to the mysterious figure in a friendly manner. Get up. Attempt talking to the other test subject. Be ready to hide in the sand should the figure be hostile.

Uh... hi.

Who are you?

Look, I don't care whether you answer or not, all I just need is a friend. This place is absolute pandemonium.

So... please...

Help me...

And I...

...will help you.

*tremble tremble*

The figure stiffens, before moving her hand from her pistol. "You are a test subject." Her voice is monotone, and completely lacking emotion. The area around her seems a lot colder then normal as well. "You have an armament similar to my own, I am guessing you found it?" Nodding to herself she motions for you to follow her as she walks in the opposite direction. (Gained Temp Ally: ???)

The woman holds her hand up, as if to say stop talking. "First of all, I don't know where the fuck you come from, but I just saved your worthless life show me some respect!" Her yell is accompanied be a small spark from her hands, as she calms she starts to speak again. "As for where we are, we're in a fucking volcano, or at least something like that. In particular, you're in my little hideaway." She pauses, before stepping closer to you, the room warming up a few degrees. "As for who I am... fuck If I can remember, so I decided to let the asshole in charge name me, so you can call me Huǒ. Got it? Now get your ass up, we got ground to cover." (Gained Temp Ally: Huǒ)

The large figure turns to you as you begin talking, as if listening carefully to your words. As soon as you offer to help it tenses, before relaxing and shaking its head. It points to the building under construction in the distance, as if pointing out the way for you before turning and heading the opposite way. A sandstorm soon kicks up, although you're unsure how when this is inside, but as it dies down, the figure is gone. With its disappearance though, you feel a bit stronger.
Notes: Well Battles will be a lot easier from now on, just try not to "Anger" your allies. Turn 10, done.

Hmm... the figure pointed to that building. Might as well check it out.

Head to the building pointed out by the figure.

And... *notices HUD change* ...nice! Healed to full!

I'd better say thanks to whoever he or she is.

Making your way out of the lab with Huǒ, you come across a large wheel-like structure that's pulling lava into the vast machine around you. It seems that the lab was built into the massive machine you saw earlier. A growling from your right alerts you to a coming danger.

"Ah shit, these things again."

Padding up to your right are two rather big dog-like machines have blocked your path, their fangs and claws bared as they stare you down. What looks to be an exhaust pipe takes place of their tail, their sides covered in flames. They lunge forward to take the two of you down.

Following the silent pale haired figure through the frozen halls of the storage facility, you come to a T section. Stopping in front of you and turning to face you, she begins to speak. "Usually, I would have to terminate those that come to this facility, however, I have been given orders to accompany you through this place for the time being."

She turns away from you, just in time to jump away from the form of a shambling corpse from her left. A growl from the right hallway reveals a lumbering canine-like machine covered in ice, baring its fangs at yourself and your ally. "Irritating. Either you can let me handle this, or you can help. I am fine with either decision."

Making your way through the sand, and avoiding the pits and small dunes here and there to get closer. Luckly you have managed to also avoid the notice of the large steel humanoids that are patrolling and bringing supplies into the building. At the top, you can see a dull gleam of some sort of glass.
Notes: Allies are of course, controlled by me, but feel free to suggest actions for them, Turn 11 done.
