I Think i can explain, as regards the Secondary damage:

Find the percentage of 870 from 10000.
870 / 10000 = 0.087
0.087 * 100 = 8.7

Find the percentage of 1090 from 10000.
1090 / 10000 = 0.109
0.109 * 100 = 10.9

Add the two two percentages together.
8.7 + 10.9 = 19.6

Convert and take away.
19.6 / 100 = 0.196
10000 * 0.196 = 1960
1960 - 1090 = 870

If this is correct, then it would mean that your current energy was 1960 and your damage inflicted was 1090, resulting in your energy equalling 870, your secondary damage. I believe this makes my calculations from earlier sound.

However, I should retract a part my statement from earier:

And here is the reason why. I tested Tanker vs. Bullet with an energy level of 2 instead of 5 (which is what we've be using). I still got 1090 (or 1084 after factoring in Regen). If this was percentile damage, the damage inflicted would have been 751.

Even when we first started testing with your testbed try, regeneration was always factored in -- you and I just didn't know that at the time. It's only when I did my test, which subtracts regen from energy, did it show that it was.
