Chebraghol spat again. He spat to get rid of the shadowy pieces of flesh in his mouth. They taste terribly.

"I shalt take mine game. These beasts do not sate my crave."

He took the sentinel under a further scrutinity, sizing it up, then turned to the streets, littered with bodies. It is interesting. Doesn't death such as this follow his kind? Raising dead would require one to be surrounded with death.

"Does this happen often?" He turned around, pointing at the carnage at hand.

"Pretty sure they found us. We might as well approach slowly and counter when they come near- take them by surprise."

"Surprise, huh? I cannot wait to see the look on their faces."

Ophelia approached with caution, with Csiphe. She hoped this would work.

Lazy post. It's only to keep the ball rolling, really.

"The attacks only grow more frequent, and more vicious. I suspect I've driven them to desperation. It would perhaps be to my advantage to bolster my forces before a swarm of those big ones is at my gate."

He paused for a moment. "Speaking of things we haven't seen, what are you?"

"They're from the tower!" yelled the lookout, as his associates looked in Csiphe and Ophelia's direction. "Shoot 'em, afore they can enchant us!" Sure enough, the bandits - at least six of them - notched arrows and let fly at the journeyman wizards.

Chebraghol stared at the spectral form with wide eyes of disbelief before bringing his axe down on the ground.

"Hast tho' not seen a demon in your life?!" he growled.

He paused for a moment. This was... interesting. "A demon, you say...?"

He turned around, thinking for a moment. "I have not, at least, not your kind. These beasts are often referred to as Demons, but I suspect it is wholly coincidence."

He turned back towards Chebraghol. "Your kind are not very common around here. Of course, as you might expect, I'm somewhat of a recluse."

Chebraghol just grunted out a whisp of air from his nose.

"These kinds of beasts are not any denizens I have ever seen. I guess I can't blame a human for his shortcomings in knowledge."

"And yet I am quite familiar with these, while you are not? Strange idea of a lack of knowledge."

He glanced at the bodies littering the street.

"I take it this is of considerable interest to you."

Chebraghol broke a subtle smile.

"I like your way of thinking."

"Well, you're certainly capable. You think you could enjoy killing more of these things?"
