Huh? This letter... I have no idea what this means... but I'd better heed it.

Run through the only opening, straight ahead.

And what a bad place to be... the desert... Bah.

The place you find yourself in looks to be the inside of a massive refrigeration unit. The walls all around you look to be metal, but they have a thick sheen of ice on them, the floor is covered in salt, probably to keep it from suffering the same fate as the walls. Ahead of you you can see an open archway leading into what seems to be a hall, the unit you are in while massive, doesn't seem to have anything stored in it.

Heeding the letters warning, you run forward through the shifting sand. Mere moments after you vacate the spot you were in, a massive pair of steel mandibles burst through the sand, closing in on nothing but air. You thank who ever wrote that letter profusely as you continue running.

Inspecting the small figure on the window, you find that it's actually a design made right into the glass. The clanking of metal behind you draws your attention. Turning around to spot the source of the noise, you come face to face with a vaguely humanoid, featureless face. The body of the machine is a crude mockery of the human form, sporting four long, gangly, bladed arms. It also has four legs arranged around its torso in a circular shape to support it's form. The blades cross as it stands ready.

Well... that was lucky. Maybe the letter meant well.

Keep running. Look for useful items while doing so.

Whoever put me in there is a jerk. Or maybe... I have some form of importance to him or her, given that the pincers activated only when I ran away from the chamber.

Uh oh.

Speaking of which, I feel like I'm being watched.

Ah, the cold. I just get here and I have to leave this place already.

Head for the exit of the cold storage unit via the archway in a reluctant fashion.

I KNEW that'd happen
Technically revealing a trap you already know does not count as falling in it...
If chaser is small enough, Grab the chaser and throw it to where Magma Viper is
If chaser is not small enough to do that, stab with Vibro-Blade

As you run, you come across a body partially sticking out of the sand, it looks to have a suit similar to your own, but much more bulky. On the ground next to it, you find a small half used medikit. (Obtained 1/2 Sm. Medikit: Recovers 10 HP when used.) The shapes in the distance are getting closer, you can also see areas of sand subtly rising and falling, as if something is digging around under it.
Snipe= 5 wrote:Head for the exit of the cold storage unit via the archway in a reluctant fashion.
Heading through the exit with a slight swagger, you look around the hallway. The walls are covered in the same thin sheen of ice you have seen in the storage unit. There are five doors evenly placed throughout the hall on your left, and a pair of double doors at the end. On your right, there is a stairwell leading further down into the building. While there doesn't seem to be anything in the hall, you can hear shuffling footsteps nearby.

(2 vs 6-1=5)
Stepping forward to stab at the Chaser chest, your blade is easily parried by one of it's own. It retaliates by stabbing forward with it's other blades at that exact moment, digging into your left side. (-30 HP)

If that's what it says on the tin...
Run South down the slope, while avoiding any lava/incoming attacks, hoping it trips and fall into lava

Head down the stairway, careful to look at any object that may be of use, fully willing to improvise and vandalize objects, if need be.

You taunt the Chaser into coming after you, which isn't hard to do given it's name. Its blades stab down in the area you were in as you roll to the side, before running toward the south exit. As you reach the slope, the massive form of the Magma Viper raises out of the lava, intent on crushing you. You just barely manage to run past its bulk, the Chaser isn't so lucky as it's pulled along with the Viper into the lava. The only thing remaining from the brief exchange is one of it's bladed arms, left behind when it was pulled into the lava. (Acquired Chaser Blade)
Snipe: 1 wrote:Head down the stairway, careful to look at any object that may be of use, fully willing to improvise and vandalize objects, if need be.
Making your way down the steps, you slip a bit on a patch of ice that seems to have escaped the floor salting. (-10 HP) Thankfully you were already at the bottom of the steps. The large hallway is lined with doors to your right and left, several of them have locks with LED lights in either red or blue. The red vastly outnumbers the blue. The only real point of interest here is what you almost landed on. Cold, dead eyes stare at you as you get up, to reveal another suited body. The suit itself is bulkier but cut to fit a thinner more feminine frame. All that is there is merely a dead body. Of course, that would be the end of that... if the body wasn't suddenly moving.

Running through the sands with little concern, you look for something useful. Spotting something glinting in the sand and making your way over to it, you find a rather large combat knife. (Acquired Knife)
Seems this was a camp of some sort, shredded and bloody material and metal litter the ground. There is something else sticking out nearby, looks like a gun barrel. Maybe you should dig it out?
Notes: Whew boy. Things are heating up and cooling down. Hope you guys don't mind my awful update schedule. Turn 7 Done.
