"V-very well..." Placing the potion back in her bag, Guinevere turns to the others. "Stocking up later... would be something of a bad idea, as we have resources we can use in this town... that... and those things are still out there, and they'll keep coming. So let's stock up on supplies now while we have a chance, okay?" She seems a bit calmed from earlier as she states her point.

Hector straightens up after he loots the two orcs, dividing the wealth equally between himself, Guinevere, and Waldemar. Ultimately, he has no cares as to where they go.

Hector retrieves six gold pieces from the orcs; he hands them out in twos.

From a distance, but getting nearer, the pounding of hoofs signals the arrival of a horseman. At the same time, from the other direction, a crossbow bolt shoots past Hector's ear as he hands out the gold - an orc archer has managed to approach the village unnoticed, and threatens to inflict grievous casualties if left unchecked. As the crossbowman cranks up his weapon for a second shot, the horseman bursts onto the scene with a cry of "Victory!", and charges straight for the archer. Just before it met its end, the orc manages to fire off one last bolt, which plunges into the horse's chest. The mount lands heavily on the crossbow, shattering it beyond repair, and the rider leaps off to the side, rolling from the landing and taking off the head of the marauder with a single swift sword sweep.

A new individual has arrived.

Sir Impressio briefly looks about for further invaders. Satisfied that there are none, he turns to the others.
"I am Sir Impressio de Victoire, Knight under Lord Armand Victoire," he declares. "This village is now under my protection. Whom do I have the honour of commanding?"

Watching the events that just played out Guinevere shakes her head. 'If only someone like this had arrived sooner...' Hearing his question and putting the two gold pieces away in her bag with a small thanks to Hector, she speaks up. "Uh... The name is Guinevere Freer, I'm a healer... thank you for the assistance..." She eyes the downed horse with a saddened expression, before looking to the others.

"Hector Cook." Hector tells him, looking slightly uncomfortable with speaking.

Waldemar did not much like the idea of noble authorities commanding him around. Most sat ducks behind secure walls, directing conscripts like him around, with no empathy or compassion for the common man. It was a widespread view that stemmed from daily misery.

"I guess you now commandeer whatever man is still alive in this place."

"And... that's not many at the moment."

Clapping her hands to get the everyone's attention, Guinevere begins speaking. "Right... um, the town square is nearest to our current position. Can we head there? As I said earlier, I can get a few more potions while we are there, which would help when we left this town... or I could always go myself... and come back..." Finishing her small piece, she fidgets a bit, waiting for their answer.

Waldemar has nothing to answer to that, just a nod maybe.
He'd walk first, but it seemed smarter to him that a more arrow-proof figure was in front of him.

Hector nods, not having any plans to go anywhere alone.
