I'm going to boost the reactor up to 107.8% again, this time routing excess power to our shield system, hopefully bleeding off that extra 7.8% harmlessly.

Well, harmless to us. Might not be so harmless to that nearby planet. Don't quite know what the radiation will do.

Who the hell purchased a reactor that can only set power levels to whatever the previous power level was +1, multiplied by some power of ten?

But doing so only results reactor power to go up to 108.0%
