Re: [Adv] Endless Depths - It Begins [Turn 1]
Every bone in his body was shaking with excitement. Arbus was not even sure if he really should sleep that night, or just march on and reach the designation as soon as he could. He quickly packed his belongings and scurried along the flat grassland, looking up and down on his map to make sure this is really the place.
The map was a small, withering thing, drawn by a half-drunk brigand when a particularly generous fellow (read: Arbus) filled him up with as much ale as his gut could handle.
"Tish crack, Ive seeeen it mahself." said the large, bearded drunk, flaring his nostrils. Making wild gestures with one hand and spilling half the flagon with other. "Liiiiiiike I was there, an the graund stars SHAKIN, like the world is crashing under. I jus' fall down on me legs and star' prayin' to all em gods I know. Ery' man gets swallod down, just not me. Ohhhhh ye better believe the gads watched me back, like even when I was young, that one tiem back in the villag-"
"Yes, yes, but what about that big crack?" Arbus replied in a bid to prevent another one of the conversational derails.
"Ah?" the brigand took another swig. "Yeah, yah. The crack. Well, I look'd down there and see, theres hollow down there. Rubble and stone and a cave, larger than anything Ive ever seen." The man's eyes widened as he told that bit, showing visible awe. He paused for a moment.
"An thats all really. I really don care much if you want to see it, but impressive it was."
"Could you sketch me a map to it?" Arbus asked.
"Sure, eh, sure. If you buy me another round..."
Arbus sighed and reached inside his purse.
Finally, in the distance, he saw it, it marred the vibrant green landscape like a giant ugly splinter, jagged rocks and a huge sink. Ancient ruins from beyond the history of mortal kin. Only a few kilometers now, he thought.

Re: [Adv] Endless Depths - It Begins [Turn 1]
Mykael was on the road.
It wasn't like he hadn't been already, he often chose to voyage away from his fellow Seraphs. He had no fear of new people and he had the time to spend simply exploring. Left unchecked, his kind was immortal, but fighting and disease were often the causes of early deaths in his clan.
This time, he had been sent by his clan. The elder, a good millennium older than any other Seraph, declared that Mykael would be chosen to carry the clan's standard in the push through the Origin Trail.
Unlike the rest of the explorers, Mykael had had no intention of arriving any earlier than he needed to be. He was content to plod along until he reached the camp, then plod straight on into the depths of the earth. The aforementioned camp was in sight, now, with the odd few individuals awakening. Such an uncanny bunch of warriors; he was sure he could see every race amongst the maelstrom.
He shrugged, waving at the few who raised their hand (or hands) in greeting. Never hurt to be good natured.
Onwards, he walked, until in the distance, he caught sight of a cloaked person. Headed towards the Trail? he wondered. He decided to call out to the fellow traveller.
"Hallo, there! Would you turn to speak, friend?"

Re: [Adv] Endless Depths - It Begins [Turn 1]
The area was vibrant, green with color dotting the landscape here and there... to someone uninformed, this would be a regular wilderness...
But to him, it was a brave new frontier.
He had been knighted barely two years ago, and for reasons unknown to him (stressed on 'to him', his humility prevented him from admitting his skill and honor), he had been bestowed upon the honor to be the leader of humanity into Origin Trail and beyond.
He had awaited this day with much excitement; but last night was a weary one due to the length of the travel. No matter. The Trail is near, and the way begins.
He walked towards a brown speck in the distance; obviously the ruins where the Trail resides. After all, it is but irregular to have ruins in the middle of what seems to be an unspoiled grassland.
Speaking of irregular, the tremors... though they might be regular earthquakes, given the regularity of them, James felt a bit of impending doom emanating from the area. Something's not right here.
As he approached the ruins, two figures caught his eye. A black, robed, and oddly short figure, and a two-winged black-and-gold humanoid.
Other species exist, of course, but these two were unidentifiable to him. Either they're new, or they're odd members of their species. Huh.
He quickened his pace, walking towards them. At least these two were awake already.
There was once something here,
but it's now gone.

"Fate is a graceful privilege bestowed upon us. Denying it is foolhardy, for tampering with greater forces can only bring about your own violent demise."
These words of wisdom were bestowed upon Sir Itane Kunor before he was to depart for his quest. Although in actuality he was only a knight-in-training, his village had a set of...peculiar customs. When the realm called for champions, the Prism Temple sent not their bravest warrior, nor their strongest. Rather, they sent a warrior of a quality they valued most: they sent their most curious. His knighting ceremony was scheduled to take place the day he departed, to give the Moluen some peace of mind, with the closing words on fate, delivered by the Temple's fortune teller, being the last words he heard from a familiar face.
Armed with only a sword and his own tough plates to protect himself, and a solitary glove to remind him of home, the Knight set out - Not for fame, or glory, or even to save the world. Rather, he set out for the simple fact of being one of the first people in centuries to see what wonders the depths of the world held.
Spotting a small group of similar champions, the knight could scarcely contain his excitement - He was aware that other races existed, yes. But the Prism Temple was rather secluded, and he had yet to get out much. He hurries up to meet with the rest of the group, nodding at them in acknowledgement when he got close. He probably should greet the trio of stranger, yes - But his endless questions had gotten him into trouble before. The Moluen would rather start off his adventure on a good note, and thus, he simply observed the other champions in silence, waiting for one of them to break the silence.

I need to figure out what caused the odd tremors, I hate it.
I'll go alone, I can stand being underestimated, but not overestimated.
Whee.

Might as well as prepare myself for what's coming, I have the time.
Head to Training Areas, as sufficient training is vital for survival.
Whee.

"Can't imagine this being worse than it was when I trained with Dad. I'll still train for a bit, though."
