Nuts!
You beat me to it!
However I was planning more on the Ultra-Hyper Prototype-2 version, otherwise known as the version from Sonic Generations (wings and a drill cannon, and a perfected right arm are the differences)...
So do you mind if I 'borrow' the design?
EDIT: :2xfacepalm: Argh. Should have read description first.
Anyways, point still stands.
Also, could you show the activated wings?

I just got done with those. Here's the Egg Dragoon with the wings.
Also, I think I'm gonna stick with 6 randomized attacks and not 8 (powered up on phase 2). As for what I have now, its like at 323 parts, which leaves little room. I'll see what I can do about this.

Hmm...
I suppose a combination of Search Lights, Player-position in relation to part shenanigans, a serving of Barrier, and the Grav Bind should do the trick.
The Search Lights, the Barrier, and the Grav Bind attached to the player, of course.
Also, I've thought of the Fire Sword attack [the 8 floor-covering beams from right arm], and it could be complemented with Ice Beam [same as Ice Shot, but in a beam, much like the original powered-up Gemerl tries to do to you].
I could make a freeze system for that.
@Wings: Huh. Prototype-2 has four-part wings, much like a dragon. I'd prefer that, but if you're lacking parts, it's all right.
Speaking of dragon, there is no difference in French between dragoon and dragon.
EDIT: Also, the Ice Wave [legs smash on floor releasing a wave of ice] could be used as well.
EDIT2: Also, SEPARATION ATTACK! [upper and lower body separate, upper body the Fire Sword, lower body the Ice Wave]
EDIT3: Eh, screw this.

Well I hear that [][][][] is trying to beat me to this. Oh man, As if I didn't have enough problems while making this boss.
Well here's a few more things I am going to implement
-I now partially have another attack done. For this one, it generates too large walls and then gets your ship in between them. However instead of trying to close them in on you, the walls then fires rapidly firing sideways bullets at you, with the narrow space of the walls making it harder. It shoots them with a faster firerate during the second phase.
-I had a great idea for the death animation.
First, the Egg Dragoon pulls your ship up close to it by using a gravity field. It then starts charging up a shot, but then some player bullets fire and that breaks it charge. Following that, it launches its drill off and the gravity field deactivates, giving you a chance to get out of the way. Then the drill mistakenly hits it in the cockpit right where you were pulled up close earlier, causing it tremendous damage. After that, the cockpit ejects and flies away while the Egg Dragoon falls down and explodes. Seems like a very fitting death animation, though a bit complex compared to what I usually do.
Also I'm trying to work with the randomization of it.

Hey, no sweat, Meta.
I'm still nowhere near your point.
Anyways, just keep working, don't worry about me.

Probably to keep up with its updated, more dragon-like form?
Yeah.
