A pistol?

Check how much ammo the pistol has, then backtrack and search for an alternate route.

Still a bit hyped up on Adrenaline, you rush to the left side of the Magma Viper toward the slope. It's unfortunate that your tunnel vision missed how uneven the ground was, as your frenzied run causes you to trip... into a shallow pool of lava. (-20 HP)

Of course, the Viper itself isn't idle. As soon as you had darted to the left, it had moved to prevent your escape. Of course, it hadn't expected you to trip, and went barreling into the lava surrounding the heated platform you're on. (Magma Viper is no longer a target)

Quickly pulling yourself from the lava, you notice you have suffered no burns yet the heat still feels unbearable, You also find your hand wrapped around a small cylindrical object. Inspecting it, closer you find a small meter on it. (Gained HP Enhancer)

The slope is still up there.

Unloading the magazine, you find the bullets have rusted in it. The only one that is good seems to be the bullet already in the chamber. But all is not lost, the barrel is fine, and so is the loading mechanism.

Turning away from the pool, a splash gains your attention. Turning back to the pool shows an unholy metallic combination of fish and sniper rifle, the barrel aimed right at you. The lower body is supported by what seems to be an tripod the extends from it's lower belly.

Code: Select all

Sniper Fish
Hp: 30
Status: Grounded - Cannot move on ground. No Evasion Rolls
Seems like backtracking might have to wait.
Notes: Dualer has to be the most lucky unlucky person I have ever seen.

What the fuck!?

Step to the side and shoot the...thing.

Also, if I had a penny for every time you misspelled "Valkar" I'd never have to work a second in my life.

Also, for the funny: there's two IE's playing on first turn, and how the hell do I take no damage when it clearly says -20HP?
The latter was fixed though
And I thought it was spelled Valker
Meh, you'd be really fucking rich then.

(2V6)
Your single shot goes wide, pinging off the ground a bit away from the stationary sniper. (Ammo: 0)

(3V6)
The Sniper Fish retaliate with a well aimed return shot, but you manage to get rolling before it even fired, saving you from damage.

You make your way up the slopes of rock, being careful not to trip. A large quake runs through the area as the machine in the deep inside the volcano seems to pick up a bit of speed. You make it inside the room without further incident. Once inside, you can see that it's a lot like the room you started out in, with an entry to the South (Which you came in through) and an entry to the North. The only thing of interest here is a small spider-like machine attached to the window to your east, though it doesn't seem to be moving.
Code 57 wrote:Look around.
You can feel sand and grit underneath you as you awaken. It seems you're in a desert area with a metallic ceiling, showing that you are indoors. You can see figures moving in the distance, but can't make them out, along with a massive skeleton of a building, it seems that it's under construction currently. In your hand, you find a simple note that says "Keep moving, or else."
Notes: None, Turn 4 done.
