Eva, having just about caught her breath, was about to thank Ashley for her help when Black grabbed her and began pulling her towards the left hand passageway. She instinctively swung her shortsword in response, its blade still covered in the entrails of the recently dispatched slimes.

If Black still tries (and succeeds, or is already grabbing Melodi), in her struggle, she shot out Magic Missiles that hit Black..... Without even realizing it.
"Thanks" he said with a warm smile. He then went over to the shop and skimmed over the merchandice. This is all shoddy, but if this is what I got to work with, it will have to do.
He straped on the leather mail over his shirt, and tried on a helm to check it's size. He then put the Broadsword over his sholder, picked up some smaller items from the shelf, and left the gold with the clerk. "Thanks again" he said as he turned to run toward the cave. Purchase:

She said those words in cheerful victory, having scored a clean shot on a slime.
Her attention is quickly directed to something a bit more ominous...
"Massive... sl? I think it's..."
"... rrrrright. Shouldave seen this coming - a massive slime. Seems exponentially deadlier than the slimes, but I'm still not sure how that works in square-cube and structure. I suspect reverse mitosis, but-"
Ashley was still trying to discuss the threat when a black hand attempted to drag her off to a path that seems... really dangerous, if the skeletons - and possibly the black figure's own words - indicate so.
"Yipe!"
However, she just barely manages to dodge that, twirling to the side in reflex.
"Yeah, keep draggin' people around. That's gonna get you friends for sure, mate."
Stay where you are while the party tries to figure out the mess that is which way should it go.
Black:
You try to pull everyone towards the left path, but suddenly Eva strikes you in the back!
Eva attacks!
AUTO 200% damage! Black took 34 damage! Black collapsed!
Ouch. Yeah, you don't piss off party members. Thankfully, the orb has a sort of auto-revive for this kind of situation. You really oughta be more careful...
The orb casts Raise IV!
Black was ressurected to full health!
And since no one else wants to go, you decide to head towards the left path.
The left path is indeed a bloody mess. Corpses from previous adventurers are around you and- hey look a chest. You try to get close to it, when it opens itself and bares its fangs!
